Passion for Birds!

I love painting birds! It brings me great joy to paint birds! I was recently asked by a grumpy yet dedicated older gentleman at the market "are you a bird watcher"? And I replied "I think so". I take photos of birds, feed them, have a humming bird feeder and a birdbath. When ever we go camping I bring my camera and take lots of pictures. I use these photos as well as reference books to sketch for my paintings. My big interest this summer is sandpipers. They are just the cutest! I had a two week stint where I painted owls,owls,owls! I find when I paint what I am interested in it brings me great pleasure.
