MISSA Magic!

I was awarded two bursaries to take summer classes at Metchison International Summer School of the Arts located at Pearson College in Metchosin. I really was a magical experience and I had a wonderful time being immersed in creativity and learned so much that will enrich my artistic ventures. I took a class in Gelatine Monotypes with Carol Rae. I had done printmaking before many years ago but was excited to be reintroduced to spontaneous pleasure of printmaking! Carol is a fabulous instructor and she demonstrated many techniques and shared her tricks. I shared this experience with my twin sister who is also an artist so that made the weekend even better.
I then took a social media class with Sukumar which opened my eyes and challenged me to think differently about this mysterious form of inviting people to be part of your creative process.
Then to top of the week I explored with Poured Watercolour with Leslie Redhead a very accomplished watercolourist and teacher. Also most evenings there were Artist Lectures with all the artists teaching giving me a glimpse of their process. It was very inspiring and I enjoyed being around creative beings. People come to MISSA from all over so if you get a chance to participate I highly recommend it.
